Cake & Egg Farm Layout

The breeding bottleneck is cake production. Here's a dedicated farm that keeps your breeding chains running 24/7.

Cake & Egg Farm

If you've used the Breeding Pathfinder you know one breeding pair eats a Cake every cycle. Run two pairs in parallel and your cake supply collapses inside an hour. This base solves that.

What cake actually needs

IngredientQtySource
Flour5Mill (wheat seeds + farm)
Red Berries8Berry plantation
Honey2Beegarde / Cinnamoth ranch
Milk7Mozzarina ranch
Eggs8Chikipi ranch

Every cake takes ~30 minutes of crafting at a Cooking Pot. The bottleneck is almost always milk and eggs because ranch outputs are slow.

Pal Recommendations

RolePalWhy?
Farming (wheat, berries)VerdashLv2 planting + Lv3 gathering — works the whole plant cycle alone.
WateringJormuntideLv4 watering keeps every plot fed.
RanchingMozzarina, Chikipi, BeegardeOne of each, working their respective drops.
CookingWixenLv2 kindling + Lv3 handiwork — operates the cooking pot.
TransportWumpoLv4 transport keeps the chest stocked.

Layout

  1. Three plots: wheat field, red berry plantation, separate row for honey/milk/eggs ranchers.
  2. Cooking Pot adjacent to feed box so your handiwork Pal doesn't waste time walking ingredients across the base.
  3. One chest per ingredient class until you unlock storage upgrades — cuts down on pickup paths.
  4. Foundation everything. Ranches and plots on raw terrain confuse pathing.

Throughput

A clean four-Pal kitchen produces roughly 2 cakes/hour running unattended. That's enough to keep two breeding pairs busy without intervention. Add a second Wixen and a second Mozzarina and you double output.

Common mistakes

  • Putting the breeding farm in the same base. Pals will wander between jobs. Build cake here, breed two map tiles away.
  • Forgetting flour. Wheat seeds are sold by the Small Settlement merchant for 100 gold each — cheaper than farming them out from scratch.
  • Overstacking ranches. Three ranchers max per base; more and they fight over the same feed box.
